Volume Hair Extensions – Attachment Methods

There are many different methods for making your hair look thicker and more voluminous today.  Flat or thinning hair is a problem for thousands of women in the London and Surrey areas, and now you have the chance to solve your problem immediately and more permanently than ever before.  While volume hair extensions are not totally permanent, they will last for months or even  year’s with proper care and maintenance.  There are things you can do on your own to care for your hair extensions and about once every two months you should come to a Hair by RA salon to have it touched up.

While there are several bonding methods for volume hair extensions, two methods that are most commonly used , hot fusion and micro ring.  Hot fusion is a method of attaching hair extensions that uses a heating clamp to attach the extensions with keratin glue on the ends of your natural hair.  This method can easily last for four months or even longer with proper care.  For this type of volume hair extension attachment method, Remy virgin Indian hair is recommended.  This kind of hair is one of the top quality options available today.

The other attachment method which is our absolute favourite is known as the micro-link.  This is the newest, most innovative form of attaching volume hair extensions today.  It is so new, in fact, that not many salons offer it.  Hair by RA, with our elite attention to the newest innovations in hair extension technology, will of course offer this method to you.  In fact, we recommend it 99% of the time.  The reason for this is that it is extremely ideal for women with very thin and fine hair, which is a great majority of our clientele.  The bonds are the size of a grain of rice, making them practically undetectable.

Micro-links require no heat, yet they last just as long if not longer than the hot fusion attachment techniques.  The lightweight bonds of micro-links allow them to weigh your hair down much less than other kinds of volume hair extensions.  Whatever method of attachment you decide upon, remember that there is no comparison between synthetic hair and real European hair or Indian Remy.  Some cheap suppliers of volume hair extensions will offer synthetics coated with silicone to feel soft, but this temporary fix does not last.  You will not regret your investment in real human hair extensions.
